Wishing I was in Maui, but dealing with being here

Thank you to Erica Shultz for organizing the 2nd Annual (I hope it will happen annually) San Francisco Ravelry Meet Up at The Woman’s Building . It was a smaller group this year but the fellowship was wonderful. I met up with Patty Thomas of Daisy Yarns and her friend Josefa to demonstrate Reversible Cables. Patty has designed several patterns using this great cable technique, including The Ferry Building Scarf which I made last year. We enjoyed a lovely brunch at Farina where I had a bomboloni, the best pastry I have every eaten made fresh and served to me warm.

Here are some pictures of the meet up

  1. A Ravelry meet-up should be a must for every metro area! Love the idea.

Erica is pretty generous. She puts out her own funds to cover expenses and then asks for a small donation at the door (however no one is ever turned away for not making a donation). Last year she collected eough to also do a $160 donation to the Women’s Center Building.

  3. It looks like you guys had a lot of fun!
