Wishing I was in Maui, but dealing with being here

Windy…

and cold, but sunny here at Lake Tahoe. We used the day to drive to South Lake Tahoe and lose some $$ at the casinos. We hadn’t been to South Lake in I don’t know how many years! Lots of new resorts on the California side. The ride over was very nice. We drove through some of the residential area at Incline Village, stopped at a Scenic View turnout and checked out Sand Harbor Beach before going to SoLake. Of course when we got to SoLake I had a yarn shop visit lined up.

The gondola’s weren’t running because of the wind. We wouldn’t have gone up anyway at $38/pp.

I’m sorry I didn’t take a picture of The Wool Tree yarn shop. I thought I’d find one online. Very nice shop and lovely owner. I don’t usually buy novelty yarns but bought two because she hand samples knitted up. Both projects will just be scarves. sometimes you just need an instant gratification project.

David is on his way to  EL Soncho’sSancho's Taqueria, Tahoe Vista to pick up Mexican take out. I hope it clears up tomorrow so we can get some beach time, even though another day out of the sun would be best for the sunburn I got on Monday. Asked about staying through Friday but they are booked for the 4th of July weekend.

PS: Taco’s Al Pastor were yummy and david really liked his burrito al pastor
