Wishing I was in Maui, but dealing with being here

Great mini…..

vacation! I am still here in SoCal and going home tomorrow. Was very lucky to have pleasant weather since Wednesday. Last night it started getting really cold and breezy and we woke up to blustery weather and drizzle this morning. Now it is intermittent rain. SoCal is on a flood watch for the rest of the day.

When I arrived Wednesday Lin had things planned. We stopped at a book store, went to the movies (saw The Kings Speech) and then to first yarn shop. Dinner at home was a nice pork tenderloin.

Thursday we left the house about noonish (late nights don’t make for early departures). Today we drove down PCH to Laguna Beach and San Clemente. Two more yarn shops (one ok and one very friendly), shopping in Laguna Beach and dinner in San Clemente.

Friday Lin worked 10am-330pm and I hung out. There was some confusion about our reservation for a cooking class in Anaheim but it all worked out. We had a really good time and got home about 1030pm.

Saturday we ran errands, went to the market and made a great dinner. Angela and Sylvia came over. We had a great laugh when trying to set up the telescope so we could look at the moon (closest it will be til 2029) which didn’t happen!

Today I went to CPC in Huntington for worship service. Then off to lunch in NPB to meet Chris at Nieman Marcus for lunch. Very nice to see her and visit for a bit. She’s in the middle of moving so we couldn’t hang out this week.

Lin went to work at 3 and will be home about 745. Early flight tomorrow morning and I have to be at work in SJ at noon! We leave for Seattle on Thursday for about 10 days.

I’ll post pictures by Wednesday
