Masterpieces from the Musée d’Orsay: The Birth of Impressionism

Le PasseportA wonderful exhibit . What an opportunity to see a collection of paintings that have never been to the US. Part 2 will arrive in September.

It’s been…

a week or so since I wrote. Sunday was a fun day at Maker Faire. Carrie and I were scheduled to teach knitting and crochet at the TNNA booth at 2pm so we arrive early so we could walk around the exhibits. If you’re into making things and inventing things and wearing clothes from the ’60’s, this is your place. Below is an LED table. Didn’t they have these in the bars in the 70’s?

You could glue, sodder, sew, knit and crochet and try lots of activities. Kids loves the event. Carrie taught lots o of kids to crochet and I taught lots of men to knit !

Yummy dinner for us tonight, Olive Bread from Pioneer Woman Cooks

Sunday I went to the Bay Area Ravelry Meet Up at The Women’s  Building in SF. There were probably 250 men and women all enjoying a day of fiber art. Lot’s of knitters knitting and showing off their FO’s. I met Linda on Rav and we drove up together and met Renee from El Sobrante and Sharon from SF. We sat with three gals from Santa Cruz. A good time was had by al!!

Kinda a ….

boring week. Nice time with Knit Klub on Wednesday but otherwise nothing. I did make an interesting dinner tonight. I had heard  an announcement  that there would be a recipe on View from the Bay using couscous and shrimp so I tuned in. Well, I had the main ingredients, Israeli couscous, shrimp, arugula. I didn’t have sparkling wine or peas but I did have green beans and white wine. So I made dinner

Israeli Couscous, Shrimp, Arugula and Green Beans
